Do you make YouTube videos?
If you’re a creator who focuses mainly on video (or even partially on video), you might be interested in learning how you can turn your YouTube videos into a podcast. And if you’re like me, you want to know how you can set it up and walk away – and have it JUST WORK.
I’ve got a solution for you, and it’s one I’ve been using for years! You can easily automate the conversion of your YouTube videos to podcast form, and then have these sound files (along with all of your video’s metadata) turned into podcasts. Even better, this service will actually publish these podcasts (with your video description and tags) to every major podcast platform – and all you need to do is set it up once.
What’s a podcast?
A podcast is a digital media file of an episodic series of audio, video, digital radio, or other digital content and a method of distributing audio content such as music, talk shows, or other audio productions. These are distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds for playback on portable media players and personal computers.
You’ve probably heard of podcasting, but you might not know exactly what it is or how to start your own. If you have a YouTube channel with video content, you can create your own podcast without any new equipment or software. I literally set it up one time several years ago and it just automatically does the job for me – thankfully.
How do you automatically turn your YouTube videos into a podcast?
1. Get Soundwise.
First, you’re going to signup at MySoundwise.com. Take a few minutes to follow the easy-to-understand instructions to set up your RSS feed.
2. Go back to the rest of your life.
After you’ve set up Soundwise and you’ve set it up, you’re all done! So go back to making videos and let your podcast take care of itself.
3. (Optional) Set up your pricing.
Personally, I don’t charge for my Soundwise podcast because it helps me market my business and because I know a lot of people need my help but can’t afford private coaching. But you get to decide if you want to charge for your podcast – and if you do, you can set that up through Soundwise too.
